This was announced to TASS by the CEO of Rocket Space Center “Progress” (one of the companies that submitted its draft of a new missile) Alexander Kirilin. “It is expected that in the near future at a meeting of the STC of Roskosmos we will consider projects of superheavy missiles represented by the companies of our sector, and will be given the choice of one of the options,” he said.

Kirilin said that the Rocket Space Center “Progress” presented at the Federal Space Agency its technical proposals for the creation of the vehicle using the promising fuel – liquefied natural gas. This is a joint project with the Khrunichev Centre, responsible for the development of the booster for a new rocket.
