Kalashnikov to Create UAV Production Enterprise
Concern “Kalashnikov” has decided to buy a controlling stake (51%) of the shares of the Russian company ZALA Aero and to create a joint venture for the production of intelligence drones, CEO of the concern Alexei Krivoruchko said on Sunday at Defence Industry Exhibition IDEX-2015 in Abu Dhabi.
“We made the decision to buy shares and to create joint venture on the basis of concern “Kalashnikov” and the Russian company ZALA Aero to produce intelligence drones,” he said.
According to Krivoruchko, the drones of Kalashnikov will be involved in the protection of the state border, intelligence and special operations. Kalashnikov and ZALA are also planning the development and production of drones for monitoring of high-risk and emergency situations, geodetic studies in harsh environments.
