Central Military District to Receive More Than 40 Drones

Division of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) of the Central Military District to the end of the year will be augmented with 40 drones within the state defense order, the press service of the Central Military District reported on Thursday.

The complexes “Orlan-10”, “Leer-3” and “Takhion-3” will equip the UAV units formed last year in Samara, Kemerovo regions and the Altai region, and the new “Aileron-3” will enter service at all UAV units of the district.

“Some drone units of the Central Military District before the end of the year will receive more than 40 drones under the state defense order,” was said in a statement.

The press service noted that the current military personnel are trained according to the plans of combat training, learn how to manage and retrieve information from existing models of drones.
