Russian Government Approves New Rules for ERA-GLONASS

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed a decree to approve the rules of information interoperability between the ERA-GLONASS system operator and the owners and users of the information. This statement was published on the official website of the Russian Government on Friday.

“The rules are used to govern exchange of the cartographic information, vehicle information, coordinate and time parameters, as well as response measures for traffic and other accidents that may occur on the roads of the Russian Federation,” the Russian Government said in the statement.

It should be noted that the decree also approves the rules of interaction between the ERA-GLONASS system and automated information system of compulsory insurance.
