“The exam will last at least five or six hours, then the crewmembers will have three days for the so-called preventive rest. The crewmembers will arrive at the Baikonur Cosmodrome on March 14 and will check the Soyuz-TMA16 manned spacecraft on March 15. They have a very tight schedule,” Mr. Lonchakov said after the crew had started passing preflight exams at the Cosmonaut Training Center.

The main crewmembers include Gennady Padalka, Mikhail Kornienko (Roscosmos) and Scott Kelly (NASA). They will be delivered to the International Space Station using the Soyuz TMA-16M manned transport spacecraft on March 27.
