Russia May Create New Engine-Building Company
Russia’s Roscosmos and United Rocket and Space Corporation are discussing their plans to establish a major engine-building company specializing in the design and manufacture of liquid rocket engines. This was stated by a source in the Russian space industry.
“The new holding company that will bring together the leading engine-building enterprises of the space industry may be created this summer,” the official said.
It should be noted that the new integrated structure may comprise such enterprises as NPO Energomash (Khimki) and Proton-PM (Perm). The potential participants of the future holding include the Voronezh Mechanical Plant producing liquid rocket engines.
According to the information furnished by the source, Roscosmos and United Rocket and Space Corporation are currently developing a concept and a road map for creating a new holding company.
