Rossiya Flight Detachment to Receive New Aircraft
The Rossiya Special Flight Detachment under the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation will receive two Il-96, two Tu-204, three Tu-214, two Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft and three new helicopters in 2015.
“In 2015, the Rossiya Special Flight Detachment is expected to take delivery of two Il-96 aircraft from Voronezh, two Tu-204 aircraft from Ulyanovsk, three Tu-214 aircraft from Kazan, two Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft and three helicopters under the Federal Target Investment Program. The purchase contracts were concluded in 2012-2014,” Secretary of the President’s Administration Viktor Khrekov stated.
It should be noted that the fleet of the Main Flight Detachment comprises 59 aircraft. The new aircraft will replace the old ones, mainly Tu-154 and Il-62. These planes will be used for recycling or will be transferred to involved agencies.
