Shvabe Develops New Highly Sensitive Camera
Russia’s Shvabe has developed a prototype of a highly sensitive camera. The new product is designed for special vehicles capable of operating under a negative impact of natural and technogenic factors, for example, in the Far North or in the oil and gas fields. The prototype has been developed by the engineers of JSC Shvabe – Devices.
“Preliminary tests have been conducted. The new product increases a range of recognition of the objects in the field of view by half, thus ensuring higher efficiency of rescue operations for liquidation of natural and technogenic catastrophes. The invention of our engineers has a number of unique image processing characteristics. However, it is a trade secret,” Director General Vasily Rassokhin said.
The specialists have already developed a program of interdepartmental tests of the prototype. The new device will be produced by JSC Shvabe – Defence and Security later this year.
