Rosoboronexport Presented UAZ Vehicle to First President of Namibia


The first president of Namibia, Sam Nujoma in honor of the 25th anniversary of independence of the Republic received a gift from “Rosoboronexport” – the vehicle UAZ-3151, the press service of “Rosoboronexport” reports.

“Rosoboronexport”, part of the state corporation “Rostec”, on the eve of the 25th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Namibia donated to the country’s first president Sam Nujoma the UAZ-3151,” was said in a statement received by the Interfax-AVN on Monday.

It notes that the keys of the car made in a special version, designed for military parades and other celebrations, has been awarded by the representatives of “Rosoboronexport” to S.Nuoyome in the presence of Russian Ambassador to Namibia Alexander Khudin.

The press service reminded that “Rosoboronexport” in 2014 signed the first in 12 years contract with Namibia for the supply of Russian military products. The main nomenclature of the contracted property – small arms weapons for special units, mortars, antitank weapons, automotive equipment, ammunition and training equipment.


Northern Fleet Received First Floating Terrain Vehicle


The first track floating terrain vehicle – TTM-4902PS-10 – entered service of Arctic brigades of the Northern Fleet, the press service of the Northern Fleet told RIA Novosti on Friday.

The vehicles of this type have been tested under the conditions of the Kola Polar region.

The ATV TTM-4902PS-10 is produced using a modular scheme: the front unit – power module, which can transport six people, back link – convertible passenger unit with a capacity of ten people, which can be easily converted for sleeping, medical unit or command post.

Operating temperature ranges from “-” to “+” 50 degrees Celsius. The machine is equipped with engine and fuel preheater, with passenger compartment heating system. The height of obstacle that can be overcome by the terrain vehicle is up to 1.8 meters.

Arctic Brigade to Receive Cross-Country Vehicles


Arctic Brigade of the Northern Fleet in 2015 will receive more than 100 pieces of military cross-country equipment designed specifically to work in the Far North, the head of the press service of the Northern Fleet captain Vadim Serga said Thursday.

Russian President Vladimir Putin in April instructed to create a unified basing system in the Arctic of surface ships and submarines of the new generation, to strengthen the border and create a new state agency to implement the policy of Russia in the Arctic.

The separate motorized rifle brigade of Arctic Northern Fleet, stationed in the village Alakurtti, Murmansk region, was established in December 2014 to protect the interests and economic security of the Russian Federation in the Arctic zone.

CHETRA-Caravan Project Receives Expert Community Recognition


Russia’s CHETRA-PM has been awarded with an honorary diploma for its contribution to the implementation of Russia’s national interests in the Arctic and on the continental shelf at the International Forum “The Arctic: Present and Future” that was held on December 10-11 in St. Petersburg. The CHETRA-Caravan project received recognition of the expert community.

Capabilities of Wonderful SUV for Russian Special Forces

Scouts of Central Military District Received Modern Mobile Command Posts


The scouts of Central Military District were armed with mobile modules of command posts for Army Intelligence (TMM PUR A) “Episode-O”. The system is designed for continuous data collection, processing and management of intelligence data in the field.

As the press service of the Central Military District reports, the complex includes 13 terrain vehicles KAMAZ-5350, 4 life support modules on trailers, command and staff vehicles on the basis of an armored car “Tiger”.

The vehicles possess workstations for operators and specialized equipment. In addition, all cars are combined into a single local network and are equipped with a satellite navigation system GLONASS.

The scouts started development of the complex. TMM PUR A will be used for large-scale exercises, MIC News reports.

Unique 100-Cot Mobile Hospital Received by Eastern Military District


Russia’s only 100-cotmobile hospital arrived in the Eastern Military District, the head of the press service of the Eastern Military District, Colonel Alexander Gordeev told RIA Novosti on Tuesday.

“Right now, in the territory of one of the military units of the district we are performing a trial deployment, testing of life-support systems, adjustment of medical and diagnostic equipment, capabilities of this unique medical complex. The new mobile hospital consists of 89 pneumoframe tents and is equipped with modern diagnostic and medical equipment,” Gordeev said.

According to him, the hospital has ultrasound diagnostics, digital X-ray equipment, equipment for electrosurgery, portable electrocardiographs, devices for determination of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in biological media, dental equipment.

“Cortege” Project to Cost 8 Billion Rubles


Development and implementation in production of domestic cars on a single modular platform for transportation and support of top officials, as well as other persons subject to state protection, is estimated at 8.051 billion rubles.

Relevant information is available on the portal of public procurement by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. We assume that the order will be executed by the only supplier, and its term is designated as 31 December 2016, Interfax reported.

This project is implemented according to the order of the Russian government on February 6, 2014. Its main task is to develop a modern platform, part of which domestic automakers could include in designing of their own cars. Approximately 5% of the total volume of the cars will be in special vehicles for top officials.

AVTOVAZ Willing to Return to Swedish Car Market


Russia’s AVTOVAZ will resume exporting its products to the Swedish car market in early 2015. This information was presented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

“In early 2015, we will resume exporting our Lada cars to Sweden. We know that there is a niche for these cars, as both buyers and sellers are waiting for us. Lada Kalina is likely to be the least expensive car in the Swedish market. Lada Granta and possibly Lada Largus will also be available,” Peter Jynnesjo, a representative of Lada Scandinavia, noted.

“According to the surveys, we are either loved or hated. It’s a wonderful position, as no one is indifferent about us. People make jokes about some of our models, but we are confident in the future,” AVTOVAZ CEO Bo Andersson stated.

AVTOVAZ is one of the largest car manufacturers in Europe, capable of producing around 800,000 cars for Lada, Renault, Nissan, and Datsun. Since 1970, the factory has produced more than 28 million Lada vehicles.

AvtoVAZ Starts Producing Pilot Batch of Lada Vesta


Russia’s AvtoVAZ has started manufacturing the pilot batch of Lada Vesta. The first car body was welded at the Izhevsk car factory in early November. All work under the project is being carried out in strict compliance with the production plan. This was reported by the company’s press center.

“From the beginning of the Lada Vesta project, its implementation has gone strictly according to the approved production schedule. Not everyone believes that we can meet the specified deadlines. However, we promised that the first car body would be welded in early November, and we have done just that. Now we are more confident than ever that we are going to launch series production of Lada Vesta on September 25, 2015, as we have planned,” AvtoVAZ President Bo Andersson pointed out.

It should be mentioned that the body of Lada Vesta was developed using a mathematical design method, with painting and welding lines being predefined in a digital model. This makes it possible to ensure a high standard of quality, reliability and comfort.
