Creative Students Develop New Design Projects for Kalashnikov

Russia’s Kalashnikov Concern has announced the results of the first contest for the best design of small arms among undergraduate and graduate students of the Moscow State Stroganov Academy of Industrial and Applied Arts.

The contest was organized by Kalashnikov Concern and Stroganov Academy to develop innovative programs and technologies and boost development and implementation of design projects. In addition, the contest promotes development of additional education for students.

“Today, one of the key tasks for Kalashnikov is to enter new markets and increase sales of small arms in the civilian sector,” Kalashnikov Concern CEO Alexey Krivoruchko said, adding that the industrial design for modern and future civilian weapons is an instrument of competition needed to increase the presence of products in the global market.
