Kalashnikov Completed First Stage of Modernization of Weapons Production
Concern Kalashnikov (part of Rostec) has completed the first stage of modernization of foundry-thermal and machining stations of arms production, the press service of the concern said on Tuesday.
Earlier it was reported that the investment program of the concern until 2017 suggests a comprehensive modernization of the production base, increase of production flexibility and optimization of production facilities of the enterprise.
“Concern Kalashnikov completed the first stage of modernization of foundry-thermal and machining stations arms production, starting 25 high-precision CNC machining centers and modern automatic pickling line for parts of small arms and heavy machinery. The aim of the project – reducing costs and improving the efficiency of manufacturing processes of the enterprise,” the concern reports.
